Born in Soest in 1962 and working in Venice, the European correspondent for the FAZ arts section not only has a fan base among the readers of the arts section; with his articles based on the values of Enlightenment humanism, he makes a very special contribution to European understanding and politics based on these values.<\/span><\/p>\n The award ceremony was once again held in Stuttgart’s New Palace. \nThis time the music was also European, with works by Italian masters of Renaissance music. The lutenist Massimo Lonardi from Milan and the flautist Marco Rosa Salva from Venice played pieces by Thomas Lupo, Diego Ortiz and Givanni and Augustine Bassano.<\/span><\/p>\n
