Anniversary event “50 years of having or being“
50 years ago, Erich Fromm’s socially critical book “Haben oder Sein. The emotional foundations of a new society”. To mark this anniversary, a two-day exhibition with lectures, a video installation, an AI project and mini-workshops will be held in the city of Regensburg’s cultural space M26 (Maximilianstraße 26).
The anniversary event entitled “Erich Fromm. 50 Years of Having or Being” is being organized by the Regensburg Fromm Group on behalf of the International Erich Fromm Society. Admission is free.
Anyone who follows current developments in the economy, society, politics and culture with fear and concern will quickly realize that Fromm’s socially critical work and his radical humanism are still highly relevant and radiant today.
Venue: M26, cultural room at Maximilianstraße 26, 93047 Regensburg (near the main train station)
Time: Saturday, 21.02.2026 to Sunday, 22.02.2026 from 10:00 to 20:00 in each case
